JUNIOR MATCH NEWS
Report given at AGM November 2012
We have had another very successful year with 17 junior teams, from U18s to U8s, boys and girls. We entered 9 teams in the Chelmsford & District Junior League (doubles). The U16 boys won their division & reached the semi-final play off and the U18 girls won the league (again!). Grove had 5 teams in the Aegon League (singles and doubles). U9s second in their league. This is the first time we’ve had all 3 mini teams entered. We entered 3 teams in the Essex Junior League (singles and doubles) which is run twice a year. The the girls U18s have won it twice since this time last year.
Massive thanks to all the parents who captain teams and drive around Essex to clubs up to an hour away – we couldn’t run junior teams without them. A special thanks to Kerry Thompson, the junior fixtures secretary, who has done a brilliant job all year.
